I have a new Food and travel tale for fun weekend around Bengaluru for Foodies! It comes at a time when life is not so Zen for me. But I have thankfully the memories of happier times and days with a few good friends.

Picking up the long overdue thread from Migration Story- Part 1 , I continue to narrate the travels and travails in my Migration Story with food, conversations, research and team building.

Recalling a friend’s balcony garden, touching moments of receiving spinach, and memories of their childhood chore of cleaning the fridge. The process of preparing a mixed vegetable dish, “chorchori,” is shared, along with spices and personal anecdotes, culminating with reflections on home and culinary inspirations.

Barko shares memories of Nigerian puff puff, a beloved street food in West Africa. They recount their mother’s heartfelt dedication to her Sunday school class and an event hosted for Samaritan’s Purse, where they prepared puff puffs for the children. The puff puff experience symbolizes cultural connection, family bonds, and the essence of Nigerian life.

One of the first few people I invited over for lunch at my apartment in Bengaluru was an old childhood friend Souvik and his artist wife Antara. I recalled meeting her earlier at an exhibition of her works. I bought one of her paintings (a cute illustration of 3 chickens) for my kitchen which is probably still somewhere in Singapore.
