Chicken Stew or Street Snacks Tour

written by Melting Lemon Drop May 18, 2025
Chicken Stew or Street Snacks Tour

Mother complained about the problem of Chicken Stew or Street Snacks Tour. Street Snacks Tour is a popular favorite amongst students and tourists. A cooking school may also be visited as a part of this desire for those who want a deeper connection.

Good morning, Bali and (Sugrib in) Vietnam!

For some tourists however, some concerns remain about health and hygiene. They may be pickier.

Overpriced Street food for pickier kids

A food poisoning that leads to multiple dashes or hot flashes is a bit of a concern for some. So, this is recommended for those with a stronger stomach, more adventurous nature or a more flexible itinerary.

Chicken Stew needs a few ingredients

During summers we may have dust around or pollen for those who are not used to these things. Hence, hiking maybe prohibited for certain kids. Some others may be perfectly fine, just saying.

Runaway ingredients for Runway Chickens

I heard about flight cancellations again. So, here’s my little story for those who are busy studying for examinations and waiting for holidays to go elsewhere.

Peaceful negotiations are difficult with some war and rumour mongering children. There is a lot of rubbish online and on tv as well.

We couldn’t do this in 2018 🙂

Some of it is to help our “jawans” and some of it is to help their parents to protect their offsprings from springing here and there. I see through the tips and tricks but its ok.

We have this nonsense now of being asked to deal with local sustainability and diabetes combination.

Do we have a problem with Chicken Stew?

Each spring leads to a bill somewhere. If you are unfamiliar with that, I must say you are more deluded than I think.

Ewww what’s that, Drag Queen

I’m overpaying my share of these bills because unfortunately I need to- considering some elders decided to pretend to be spring chickens for a bit of friendly roasting and toasting.

Here’s my all-time favourite simple recipe of Chicken stew which is the easiest thing on earth. Good for rest and rehab. And also light on the stomach for those who may wish for some respite from explorations around restaurants and museums tasting street food.

Do we need this? I mean, they may be already full after a lot of sampling elsewhere.

Yes, we do. Because, sometimes, we just want to keep it simple, stupid.

My own friends and family are circling around again to shut me up for the sake of their own jobs and employment.

We want Silent workers

If you haven’t faced it yourself, you may be unfamiliar with the way bullies work.

Are we questioning the strength of curses from elders? Backed by the strength of curses from youngsters? Are you caught in the middle once again?

Look what I found!

You chose sorrow and pain instead of stealth and happiness.

So, replace the Chicken with the Egg and see if you get the analogy, my friend. And if you are a vegetarian- try this instead.

Most of these things can be bought easily nearby or ordered online. If you don’t have the apps to do so, you can simply ask somebody to help you with it. Or walk around the neighborhood to explore some more.

You are too sick to do any of these yourself and you are dependent upon another bully? Too bad.

You cannot tell Your Story- tell others’ stories

Reality check once again. Some are silently enabling your demise– you may be way too eager for an earlier ticket to freedom or heaven.

Good experience but we need much longer sessions

But I always knew I’m going to hell. I was told repeatedly by everyone that there’s nothing that can help me because I’m so stubborn. So, I don’t understand where is this coming from?

There’s a lovely little lake here which is good for taking walks. But the approach road to it may be a bit crowded, muddy or uneven.

Less than 6k steps

So, there’s an alternate one which is a bit further away and this one you can reach with a rickshaw. Booking cabs/ rickshaws is recommended and I use these apps online for that.

Experience maybe narrated

These apps keep changing and each person has their favorite- so best is to check with others around depending upon when and where you are seeing this. For longer journeys (e.g., to the airport or local sightseeing), I also use another app.

I discovered later that some of the people here work for or are associated with some of these apps.

Macro counters- food for thought

So, we understand the vehemence with which we may have arguments internally about which is for better or for worse.

Credit cards don’t work sometimes, so cash maybe needed in a little potli somewhere.

However, this doesn’t need to bother “tourists” or “visitors”. Some may have deep nostalgic connections with this place, and some may come with some intentions of trying to learn or trying to teach in return.

What about the metro railways and local buses? Let’s keep that for another post.

My experience may not be different from others

I must say, it takes much longer to get this point. Unfortunately, or fortunately, we are an ancient land of many teachers all around. And we struggle to have a say ourselves irrespective of age, gender, religion, region or sect.

I was in fact schooled by another dear friend recently to stop posting online. She was actually relaying a message from other well-wishers. So, I don’t blame her. In fact, every time I lose, someone else gains. Isn’t that obvious? Duh.

Can you do all this again, alone?

It seems it is deemed to be scary or too aggressive or unstable to some. I hear them.

Unfortunately, some of us have a problem with our voice carrying through above the noise from the televisions and other chopper attacks.

Hence the conversations are in little circles and huddles. You cannot skip some holes and muddy puddles. So, they say walk with your eyes wide open and not shut. It is seriously a problem for some especially those with ear pods in their ears and mustard flowers in their eyes. (Slight doubt- mustard flowers or drumstick flowers? Check online)

Supporting evidence or documents

Have you been physically abused by your own loved ones? Or ostracized by those you reached out to for help?

Hello, I grew up with fighter cock brothers. Serves them right, that some of them are being bashed up now by their own kids. Divine Justice, I say.

A friend’s belated birthday wishes

Evil- yes. I am evil to the core. My mother and brother relayed that to all and sundry. And I realized their laundry was not even in the washing machine. Such is the injustices we find in this world.

Then did I tell you about this mysterious disappearance of another little 3-legged cat which was called a dog? I maybe rambling again- a memory jog from this book I picked up. It’s not original- I could see that analogy in lives around me. 🙁

I’m making slow progress

I got my 3 big heads, I was told. Why do I want more? It’s a natural process. Doesn’t stop. Not in my hands. I made people cry.

Disabled through multiple hacks on different parts

So, all that I did was a waste? Are we enabling others to echo Imposter Syndrome again?

Ummm- yeah kind of. If you support Mothers, you may wish to delve into the narratives of their children as well.

Ouch! Scary slippery slide agaiiiiin.

Nobody cares about violence on women, on children, on useless wastrels and especially not on people who haven’t earned their right to posting things online. Why don’t you send actual letters or postcards? Handwritten ones?

Parsley for the stew, rosemary for the hair

I heard tales of actors and actresses in Bollywood, Hollywood, Tollywood and other deeper woods.

I must say there are actors and actresses in every part of this blessed nation. We have good ones and bad ones.

When they say he/she is a hero/heroine it is meant sarcastically, btw. Some delicate darlings have a problem with sarcasm. To them I say, it is going to be mighty difficult for you to survive as you progress in life.

Chicken Stew Handover to next round of Speakers

Is there no peace? Can a simple soul not find any honest and good people anywhere?

Hmmm….it’s alright. We have seen that side of vehement declarations everywhere. Nobody cares unless they actually go through the same or similar experience themselves.

I cried a lot myself but there was nobody to see my tears. What they saw was only a wide goofy smile because keeping up appearances is more important sometimes.

Just say no. That’s it. So said people who are supported by others. I am unsupported, uncared for and unworthy of that courtesy. I dedicate this post to others who may understand or feel the same way.

A few people I reached out to guided me in this direction, but I had to let it go. Sharing with others who may have a similar experience or may have a similar dream. I cheer you on forward in your dreams.

Open House Questions October 2022Download

Yes, I Chickened out

Say for example, my card and name were used by others I don’t know. I share because my consent wasn’t taken or given in unilateral decisions for adventurous explorations by say Dora or Dory. (Fishy I know.)

Bear with me here. Our memories and moments of happiness given were not counted or accounted for.

First time- No. Second time- No. Third time- No.

How many times- let’s count that again. I’m not ok with it but what can I do? Will they be caught red-handed?

Sage and Thyme not needed

Have you been used like an object by others and discarded? Like say that old Panama hat you no longer need or use.

Narratives keep changing as you change the channel. Straits of Malacca and Cape of Good Hope– both were connected through a quick call.

And then there was a faster response from the English Channel declaring I have no need for Chanel. Hmmm….So what do you want, darling?

I want simple chicken stew. That’s all. 🙂

So here you go.

Footnote

Since 2020- there but not quite there

Grim Truths

I see only beautiful things around

I find only love and happiness in being blind

My surroundings are so lovely

My narrative is so attractive to children

I send rainbow kisses and wishes

I help those who are easier to fool

Because you deserve the worst

For stirring up fear and hatred

Why didn’t you show the cooler side

This may be summer for some

But still autumn or winter for others

Are you blind again? Or just pretending to be?

Are you refusing to acknowledge others pains

Deliberately to help your own escape or gains?

I don’t escape, I said multiple times

But I’m pulled and pushed in different directions

When it is I and not we.

What happens when that kills your voice?

What happens when that kills your choice?

When do you become so comfortably numb

That you can laugh so easily at others misery?

You want a happy ending to this story

Happiest one, is when I die.

  • 6-7 pieces of cloves

  7. Add the sweet potatoes and turnips first and fry a bit. Lower the flame, cover and cook for 5 mins.
  8. Add all the other assorted vegetables and mix well. Season a bit, add a bit of water, cover and let it cook
  9. Check after 5-10 mins and add some coconut water. Cover and let it simmer some more.

Notes

1. Use a pressure cooker to save time if you are in a hurry. This reduces cooking time by approx. 15 mins 2. This goes well with rice, dosas or garlic bread. If you leave it soupy, you can also have it by itself 3. If you like it with less spices, just add 1 bay leaf, cinnamon and a few peppercorns
